A haven of rural relaxation, this lovingly restored stone farm building lies in 18 hectares of woodland with a river winding through it, ideal for rambling country walks. Those looking to unwind in style will certainly wish to take advantage of the spa centre facilities run by the owner across the courtyard to the rear of the property.

Renovated from top to bottom, the Breton character of this stone farmhouse has been meticulously retained and enhanced by quality modern fittings and fixtures throughout.

In the main living area, original features such as exposed stonework and a large open hearth lend a gravitas and authenticity, which are perfectly balanced by stylish contemporary furnishings and an elegant décor of neutral tones. Upstairs the soft palette is echoed and complemented by the continued use of natural materials such as real wooden flooring.

From the al fresco dining terrace, guests can enjoy complete seclusion and a peaceful outlook across the private enclosed garden to pastures beyond. A gate leads to the sheltered pool area, with sun terracing set in lush beautifully maintained gardens.

Although set in the heart of the countryside, the property is only a short drive from amenities with an excellent choice of shops, bars and restaurants nearby in Quimperlé (4km). This attractive market town is situated at the confluence of the Isole and Ellé rivers, which can be navigated by canoe or kayak, or take to dry land again to appreciate the fascinating mix of picturesque timber framed houses and imposing gothic architecture. A little further afield, numerous galleries and antique shops line the streets of ‘arty’ Pont-Aven (16km), made famous by Paul Gauguin and his peers. Sweeping sandy beaches can be enjoyed at Le Pouldu (12km).
