One is sometimes instantly captivated by a house, especially by its situation. This interesting find enjoys a dramatic rural outlook and yet is close to the centre of the ancient town.

Casa Rilke is on the very edge of Ronda itself. Just above the 'Paseo de los Ingleses', it turns its back on the town and looks breathtakingly from its impressive heights across the valley way below to the peaks of the encircling Serranía. This is the beautiful rural scene that can be viewed daily from the pretty garden and private pool.

Slip the catch of the front gate, cross the end of this quiet cul-de-sac, take the virtually hidden path that leads off and you will find yourself on the fine 'albero' of the park. On the other side is the famous bullring and pedestrian only streets and squares, full of interesting shops and several locally recommended restaurants. Cross the gorge via the magnificent Puente Nuevo and you are in the ancient Arab quarter of this beautiful and fascinating town. To have all this within easy walking distance makes Casa Rilke one of our most popular Ronda houses.

Internally the personal touches of the owner which include antiques, paintings and other memorabilia create the welcome of a first home. The garden is kept neat and tidy by regular care and attention and you are very welcome to help yourself to fresh apricots from the two trees when in season.
