If we were to compile a list of prime locations, this would undoubtedly be at the top! Sitting amidst mature enclosed gardens only 150m from the sandy shore of the Ría de Pontevedra, this smart home lies within striking distance of all the appealing features we seek. A picturesque cove sheltered by lush tree covered slopes, a local restaurant with spectacular views across the water and a typical port with narrow winding streets can all be reached on foot.

The orientation of the property towards the water means that whether you are swimming in the pool, relaxing on the wide lawn or dining on the covered terrace, the nearby estuary will be visible ahead.

From the entrance gate, follow the road for just 100 metres and you will reach a restaurant, which sits elevated above the beach and offers an appetising menu of regional dishes. Alternatively, cross the road and take a path through the trees to reach the beach of Aguete, where golden sands curve around to the nearby port, which sits on the headland and offers all amenities.

With so much available so close to hand you may not feel the need to use the car. Nevertheless, a drive of just 5 minutes takes you to Marín, a bustling port with an attractive centre of narrow streets and typical bars and restaurants.

Continue eastwards from here for a further 10 minutes to discover the impressive heritage of Pontevedra, where fine historical buildings line a delightful network of narrow cobbled streets, opening out every now and then into ornate stone flagged squares.

Inside, the well equipped house is equally appealing. Frequently used by its owners until recently, the comforts and attention to detail of a much loved family home are clearly evident and combine with an air of spaciousness to create an appealing and welcoming abode.

Downstairs, the bedrooms are accessed from a wide hall, whilst French windows lead from the roomy living room onto the covered terrace at the front. An additional sitting room is available upstairs, where sloping ceilings and exposed beams in all rooms introduce an air of character and charm.

Parties paying the small party rate will have use of the ground floor bedrooms only.
