FIRST SUITE

  • First floor: Two double bedrooms. Three twin bedrooms. All bedrooms have en suite shower room and door to covered balcony overlooking barbecue terrace and pool.

SECOND SUITE

  • Ground floor: Sitting room (fireplace) with door to covered terrace. TV room (TV, DVD, CD) with door to covered terrace. Dining room. Kitchen (microwave, dishwasher). Cloakroom.

If it is fine views that you seek, the situation of this beautifully converted 17th Century country home will surely impress. Nestling in an elevated clearing amidst lush wooded countryside, it looks out across a sweeping panorama of forested hillside rolling down to the banks of the River Minho. It is an idyllic hideaway and yet the sandy beaches of Baiona can be reached in less than half an hour, and the historic hilltop town of Tui is a mere 4km away.

The homely comforts that are the abundance of soft sofas, carefully chosen antique pieces and well stocked bookshelves have been combined with modern conveniences so that each bedroom boasts its own en suite shower room and the two kitchens are up-to-date.

Whilst the beautifully furnished rooms flow from one to another throughout the property, a door from the entrance hallway can be closed to create two distinct sections, each with their own kitchen and living room. Sharing families can therefore enjoy independence from time to time if required.

Outside, whether you are relaxing on the covered terrace, dining by the barbecue or swimming in the pool below, the superb vista of open countryside will be your outlook. Walkers will enjoy following the rural tracks that lead from the house through this attractive scenery, with one riverside walk passing an impressive 40 mills.

The nearest restaurant is only 1km from the house, although all amenities and restaurants can be found in Tui, which is a 10 minute drive. Just 5km away is the Portuguese border, beyond which lies the attractive fortified town of Valença with its ancient walls enclosing a charming old town.
