Ca'n Busqueroles is a sympathetically renovated and extremely spacious Mallorcan farmhouse, tucked into the beautiful countryside in a very peaceful situation close to the old Roman town of Pollença.
The charm of a farming past is evident in the choice of décor and furnishings, all of which have been carefully chosen to complement the building's rustic origins.
The kitchen, in particular, oozes character with its unusual cartwheel feature light fitting and window frame and it is clear that the local owners take great pride in their house as the choice of interior woods, floor tiles, ceramics and pretty Mallorcan fabrics all combine effortlessly to create a traditional, but contemporary feel.
Running the length of the property, the deep, tiled front terrace is most inviting with its promise of shade. Here you can sit lazily and enjoy an evening aperitif while admiring the beautifully tended gardens around you. Indeed, you are spoilt for choice with regard to outdoor seating areas as the hugely impressive barbecue house, just a few steps away, boasts its own superb covered dining terrace and vast in built cooking area meaning it is certain to be the centre of attention at mealtimes.
Alternatively, the magnificent views from the long open terrace on the first floor stretch out across the swimming pool and the rolling green countryside towards the Puig de Maria providing a stunning rural backdrop to this fine property and a perfect complement to the house grounds, themselves bountifully stocked with a variety of colourful Mediterranean plants including cacti, palm and olive trees, sculpted hedgerows, lawns and a large citrus grove.
A 10 minute drive takes you to either the pretty cove beaches at Cala Sant Vicenç or the magnificent sweeping sandy bay of Port de Pollença in the other direction. It is only 2km to the town of Pollença itself where all amenities, including bars and several superb restaurants, can be found amongst the quaint cobbled streets.
