This must surely be the perfect hideaway! We followed a country lane through lush woodland and stopped at a clearing, where this charming cottage snuggles against a backdrop of forest, its pretty lawned gardens stretching out at the front. To the side, grassland slopes gently down to more trees, across the tops of which can be seen a splendid panorama of the picturesque hills and valleys that extend to the border with Portugal.

Finca Gallufe enjoys a truly rural setting and yet it is nevertheless only a short distance from the fine beaches of golden sand that fringe the nearby coast.  A drive of just 15 minutes reveals the superb wide sands of Playa America, which are backed by delightful stone built houses, seemingly unchanged over the years, and an appetising selection of bars and restaurants. Just around the corner, the intimate bay of Panxon, encircled by the terraces of restaurants serving the day's fresh catch simply must be visited.

For all amenities, the attractive town of Gondomar is 7km from the house, whilst just 2km away is the small village of Santa Maria de Tebra, which has a restaurant and shop.

Inside, the accommodation is smartly presented and you will no doubt enjoy spending time in the bright sitting room, where wide windows stretch from one side of the wall to the other to capture the pleasing rustic scene. In the attractive garden, the pool is surrounded by lawn, with occasional fruit trees creating welcome areas of shade.
