A gem hidden away in the picturesque medieval village of Ullastret, Can Pitu is a traditional stone 'masia' dating back to the 17th Century, which has been lovingly restored over the past 25 years by its owner Sr. Sala, a local stone mason specialising in the restoration of old buildings.

Many original features such as tiled floors, open faced walls and vaulted, beamed ceilings have been carefully retained whilst the combination of tasteful rustic colours and antique furniture create a feeling of stepping back in time. Outside, the lawn, pool, spacious barbecue area and covered dining terrace are all enclosed by a private walled garden.

Forming part of one of the outer stone walls of the village itself, Can Pitu enjoys a countryside aspect and yet is just 200m from the ancient 'Llotja' or roofed square, through which the village centre is entered and where a selection of fine restaurants and bars with open air terraces plus a local grocery store are to be found.

Ullastret with its well preserved medieval walls, reinforced towers and battlements is a fascinating village while the striking rural views and Romanesque chapels that dot the surrounding area make walking the country lanes a pure delight.  Just 12 km away lie the market town of Palafrugell and the beautiful unspoilt beaches of Aigua Blava,Tamariu and Llafranc, whilst a 10 minute drive brings you to the pottery town of La Bisbal with its bustling Friday market.
