This lovely, refurbished cottage is a real gem. Klarici is the perfect, romantic country hideaway for those looking to relax and unwind in peaceful rural seclusion. Perched high on a bluff in the undulating heartland of northern Istria this unique location is privileged to a quite stunning 360 degree rural panorama encompassing some of the prettiest scenery Croatia can offer.

To optimise the dramatic views, the living room has been thoughtfully placed on the first floor with a spacious covered terrace leading off. Overlooking the pool it provides the ideal vantage point from which to admire these idyllic surroundings.

Major sites visible from the house include the emblematic medieval hilltop towns of Motovun, Oprtalj, Draguc and Zamask as well as Lake Butoniga, sparkling against the dramatic backdrop of the Ucka Mountains.

Character features such as beamed ceilings, hardwood lintels,wrought iron balustrades and open faced stone walls are evident throughout.

A kitchen/dining room shares the ground floor with the double bedroom and a shower room. Air conditioning adds to the comfort. Outside, the raised pool and sun terrace provide a perfect spot for soaking up the sun and drinking in the magnificent vista.

Irresistible Motovun (9km) offers essential amenities and a good local restaurant. To the north-east is Buzet, gazing across to Slovenia and well worth a visit for its Venetian architectural legacy.

This is also the heart of Istrian truffle country with organised walks through the forests to gather the delicacy and one of Istria's most famous truffle restaurants, Zigante, just 8km away at Livade.
