Pollença offers a marvellous choice of amenities from individual bakeries to large supermarkets, from intimate cafés to popular, well respected restaurants many of which centre on the Plaça Major, the bustling and atmospheric heart of the old town. Here the pavement terraces are a perfect place to linger over a drink and soak up the unique atmosphere, particularly on a Sunday morning when the famous weekly market sets up for business.
Within easy distance the choice of sandy beaches includes Cala Sant Vicenc (9km) and expansive Pollença bay (10km). Do be sure to try the scenic drive over to Cabo Formentor where the sea views are some of Mallorca's most famous.
