With its yellow façade, sage green shutters and terracotta roof tiles, Bareyts is a most welcoming house. Situated on the outskirts of the leafy little town of Amou, the property is tucked away along a country lane and enjoys sweeping views over fields from its pool terrace.

You will be immediately impressed with the generous proportions of the property. An imposing wooden stairway in the hall, high beamed ceilings, and the vast fireplace in the living room create a sense of space.

Individual pieces of furniture and plump sofas sit well against the pale walls and add more character. A secondary living room, and a reading room on the first floor, ensure there is room for everyone to relax.

Outside, the enclosed rear courtyard offers shaded dining areas and teems with pots of flowers. From here, a gate leads to the pool area, surrounded by lawn which overlooks the expanse of meadow.

Amou is a charming small town generously bestowed with three restaurants and essential amenities, a 15 minute walk or so from Bareyts.

Sitting on the banks of the River Luy de Béarn, it boasts a beautiful church and impressive 17th century château. Both lively Biarritz and historic Pau are within a 45 minute drive.To the north of Biarritz, the wide sandy beaches backed by pine forests are within easy reach for a day out.
