The leafy little town of Svetvin enat is the charming location for this most impressive house, perfectly matched to its delightful environs. Within a five minute walk of Neroli you will find a couple of bars, a pizzeria, a konoba, two general stores, post office and a pharmacy as well as the jewel in Svetvin enat’s crown, the main square. Home to a beautiful Renaissance church and an 18th Century loggia the square is dominated by the imposing Palazzo Grimani, a well preserved, medieval castle with a wide, lawned keep, fringed by chestnuts and pines. 
A curving stairway leads up to the first floor where there are three fine bedrooms, all en-suite. Further stairs lead directly into the centre of the second floor and the fourth bedroom which encompasses the entire width of the house; an already vast space, further enhanced by a vaulted ceiling supported by original cross beams. To one side sits the sleeping area with en suite shower room, to the other a large seating area gives access onto a private sun terrace looking out over the garden and across the rooftops of this atmospheric town.
Enclosed by a high stone wall, the grounds are home to a row of mature trees, two small areas of lawn, a shower, cloakroom, sauna and a lovely private pool surrounded on three sides by teak decking. Alongside the generous covered dining terrace, a large in built barbecue awaits your culinary attentions.
Situated in central Istria, Svetvincenat could not be more conveniently located. The principal towns of the region, including Pula, Rovinj and Porec are all within a 30 minute drive, as are the pebble beaches of the Adriatic coast. For a fascinating day trip take the boat over to the historic and beautiful Brijuni Islands National Park where numerous herds of fallow deer, moufflons and peacock wander in parkland of holm oak, cedar, laurel and bamboo. Closer to home, Svetvincenat has a varied programme of cultural events to enjoy over the summer months including the ethno-jazz festival (start of July), the International Festival of Dance and non-Verbal Theatre (end of July) and, in mid-June, the election of the most beautiful goat in Istria (we kid you not!).
