A spacious and well maintained barn conversion, Maison Capdevielle echoes the traditional style of the local vernacular with its steeply pitched tiled roof and dormer windows. It stands in sheltered grounds and enjoys broad views over the valley and hills on the far side.

The large private fenced swimming pool lies snugly within the enclosed garden which is mainly laid to lawn, perfect for croquet or badminton matches.

A delightful array of plants and flowers adorn the flowerbed at the end of the pool area and large hydrangea bushes add a splash of colour by the terrace. Light and airy, the interior is comfortably furnished with a large living/dining room which has some interesting artefacts from the local area.

There is a small shop for essential items in the nearby village of Baigts de Béarn. Orthez (5km) offers more amenities including a number of restaurants. Maison Capdevielle's location makes it ideal for exploring the pretty Béarnaise towns and villages, such as Salies-de-Béarn, Sauveterre or Pau, the region's historic capital.

For a day out at the coast, the sandy beaches of Biarritz and Hossegor are easily reached, whilst the foothills of the Pyrénées to the south are within an hour's drive.
