It is a pleasure and a privilege to be able to offer this smart and imposing Andaluz residence, which commands far reaching views from all sides across the neatly ordered rows of cherry, orange and olive trees that occupy the 30 hectares of grounds within which it stands. In a style so typical of a southern Spanish country estate, the smart and beautifully presented accommodation is built around an attractive cobbled courtyard, its gleaming white walls strewn with the striking deep colours of pretty bougainvillea and an impressive tower guarding one corner.
The recent construction of the property has been perfectly executed to produce an effective blend of old and new. Reclaimed materials such as solid wooden doors, traditional windows and floor tiles combine with pretty and beautifully coordinated Liberty style fabrics to create the ambience of a grand and comfortable country home.
Four of the bedrooms can be found in the main house, where two living rooms display superb high pitched ceilings of exposed wood and handsome open tread stairways that lead to the upstairs bedrooms. As these staircases are part open and the banisters have wider than average gaps, very young children would need supervision. Two further bedrooms are housed in the tower, the upper floor of which serves as a superb viewpoint with windows lining each wall of the bedroom that occupies this space.
Equal attention to style and design has been paid to the swimming pool area, which is reached by way of wooden steps down a flower covered sloping bank. The ornate white painted stonework and elegant brick terrace that surround the water make this an eye catching feature, whilst the seemingly endless rows of fruit trees that spread out beyond it provide a most appealing rural vista.
Just 2km from the property is the local village of Aznalcázar where restaurants, shops and a 9 hole golf course can be found. Alternatively, a good range of amenities and places to eat can be found in Benacazón, which is 4km in the other direction. However, one of the great attractions of Las Marciagas is its close proximity to Sevilla, Andalucía's capital city and home to some of the region's most ornate and beautiful architecture. Being just 30 minutes away by car, the ancient streets and ornate squares that surround its superb cathedral quarter are sure to become a favourite haunt.
The housekeepers live in a separate house off one side of the courtyard but they will not use the private pool. Groups paying small party rates will have use of the main house only.
