Superb panoramic views across the Serchio valley can be enjoyed from the grounds and terraces at Ai Castagni, a smart, traditional stone property situated on the edge of Casatico, a typical local village in the heart of the Garfagnana region.

Renovated to a high standard, Ai Castagni offers that winning combination of local character and modern comforts.

From the wide front terrace, you step into the elegant living/dining room.Here the pale painted walls are adorned with framed botanical prints, the large dining table has prettily dressed matching chairs and comfortable soft furnishings are grouped around the fireplace.

Upstairs, there are three lovely bedrooms, all with oak flooring, chestnut wood beamed ceilings and modern en suite facilities.

Sun worshippers will spend their time on the front terrace whilst those seeking somewhere cooler will find the perfect spot under the shade of the oak chestnut trees. Children will enjoy the spacious garden as well as the pool area, which, thoughtfully, is completely enclosed and gated.

The nearest restaurant is 1km from the house with further restaurants and amenities in Camporgiano (3km). Exploration of the area will reveal a diverse, interesting region of medieval towns, stone hamlets and a landscape of meadows and mountains.

Walking, mountain biking and horse riding are some of the activities available or enjoy a leisurely stroll around Piazza al Serchio (8km), Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (13km) and Barga (25km). Alternatively, take the train from Camporgiano and just over an hour later you will be in one of Tuscany's most picturesque towns, Lucca.
