Situated off a country lane on the rural outskirts of Ciutadella, this well presented home enjoys an excellent location. Surrounded by a picturesque patchwork of open farmland, criss-crossed by traditional dry stone walls and dotted with the whitewashed cottages and abundant orchards of local smallholdings, it benefits from a scenic rustic outlook and is yet only 1km from the elegant, historic town of Ciutadella with its atmospheric restaurant-lined harbour and ancient labyrinth of cobbled streets.
The pretty dry stone walls that are so typical of the area enclose a neat garden of well kept lawns and occasional fruit trees, amidst which sits the swimming pool, flanked on one side by a sun terrace. Inside, comfortably furnished rooms have been designed to create a practical living space that offers easy access to the outdoor facilities, with patio doors leading out from both the sitting room and kitchen to a covered terrace that looks out across the pool.
Its close proximity to medieval Ciutadella makes Ca'n Xiscu a perfect base for exploring this delightful town, which is just 1km away. Here, you may choose to browse the stylish shops lining the narrow stone-flagged streets, stop for a coffee in one of the smart squares or head down to the charming harbour where some of the island's best restaurants are to be found.
Trips to the coast are also easy, the unspoilt beaches of Son Saura, Cala En Turqueta and Macarella in the southeast being particularly worth a visit and only a 20 minute drive from the house.
