It is a tribute to the caring local owners that in furnishing and equipping the property to modern standards they have, at the same time, artfully managed to maintain the authentic and welcoming feel of a traditional Mallorcan farmhouse. Reinforcing Can Jaume’s indelible links with days gone by, exposed stone walls, sloping beamed ceilings and hand picked items of rural memorabilia are all eye-catching features of the house décor.

Outdoor living is an equal pleasure. Bordered by a large lawn, mature shrubs, hedging and trees the private pool has family-friendly Roman steps and there is ample terracing both open and covered on which to relax in the sunshine. The surrounding landscape of hills, farmland and unspoilt countryside is quintessential Pollença.

Criss-crossed by winding rural lanes and well marked cycle tracks this area will also interest birdwatchers as a fascinating mix of species including terns, warblers, kestrels, ospreys, migrating herons and cranes all regularly visit the nearby Albufera National Park.

Comprehensive amenities, a lively Sunday market and an excellent choice of restaurants are all found at Pollença (3km) and you are extremely well placed for visits to the coast with the long sweeping beach, boat trips and water sports of Port de Pollença just 9km. The two sandy coves of Cala Sant Vicenç are also within easy distance and a fine nine-hole golf course is about a 10 minute drive.
