The deep blue waters of Lanzarote’s southern coastline glisten invitingly beyond the lush garden of tropical plants that surrounds this charming Canarian cottage, which nestles within the sleepy village of La Asomada just a 10 minute drive from the sea.
The nearby shoreline, with its sandy beaches and wide selection of water activities, is pleasingly close to hand and yet the pretty cluster of typical homes and local amenities that make up this attractive hamlet retain the traditional character, unspoilt charm and tranquil ambience of local island life. Its well stocked shop and typical tapas bar are both within 800m of the house whilst its privileged position on a south facing hillside provides it with stunning views down onto the coast.
Rustic stone walls and a colourful collection of exotic plants and cacti encircle the poolside and al fresco dining terraces of this attractive home to create a picturesque outdoor area with a distinctly tropical feel. Inside too, a light and welcoming ambience prevails thanks to the mellow hues of pastel paintwork, the warm wood of doors and ceilings and a combination of skylights and wide picture windows that frame the enticing sea views. Trips to the nearby coast can be planned whilst looking out towards the shimmering waters, whilst also within easy reach in the other direction are the majestic multi-coloured volcanic cones of the Timanfaya National park and the vineyards and bodegas of La Geria, the island’s fascinating wine growing region.
Since all beds are doubles, an additional folding bed can be provided as long as the capacity does not exceed 6.
