The fine golden sands of the picturesque beach of Zahora must be one of our favourite spots along this scenic coastline. Backed by grassland, occasional palm trees and a charming rustic restaurant, this beautifully unspoilt stretch of sand sweeps down towards the distinctive lighthouse of Trafalgar amidst the most natural of settings, and will no doubt become a favoured haunt of guests staying at Casa Chano.
Only 400m from the beach, this local home sits within an enclosed garden in the neighbourhood of coastal properties that lie beyond the shoreline. In typical regional style, its crisp white walls and terracotta floor tiles set off a neat interior that is simple and unpretentious whilst the lawned garden that surrounds it is dotted with shady trees and a selection of terraces. Up above from the roof terrace, views can be enjoyed across the surrounding countryside, with the sea visible beyond.
It is however its excellent location that makes Casa Chano such an appealing residence since to be within such close proximity of the sea and find a house with its own pool is rare in this much sought after area. A series of residential lanes, bordered with similar properties, provides the pleasant route for a gentle stroll to the beach, where the rustic wood tables and benches of its local restaurant provide the perfect setting for dining alongside the ocean. Just 400m away in the other direction are the amenities of the village, which include a butcher, baker and another restaurant whilst a short drive north reveals the charming coastal town of Conil de la Frontera.
