The temptation here will be to relax by the beautiful pool in the spacious grounds of this comfortable, renovated farmhouse. Yet you are ideally based to experience the delights of both Tuscany and Umbria. Situated near Lake Trasimeno (5km), itself offering waterside restaurants and beaches, Villa Carisma is on the border of the two regions. Cortona, Montepulciano, Pienza, Perugia, the names roll off the tongue and all are within an hour's drive.
Groups of friends or a couple of families will appreciate the spaciousness of this fine property. Behind the traditional stone exterior of this Tuscan farmhouse with its wooden shutters lies a light and airy interior, with large rooms running the width of the house that are attractively furnished and well decorated.
A recent extension has created a large kitchen and two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom facilities. An extensive garden with plants and trees, and a number of terraces ensure outdoor living is in a pleasant setting. The large pool is at the front of the house, surrounded by lawn and partially fenced, and overlooks the fields of the surrounding countryside.
The small village of Pietraia (4km) has a couple of shops, but for a wider range of amenities and restaurants, the stunning hill-top town of Cortona is only 10km. Here you will find history, art and culture, all in a town little changed since the Middle Ages.
Central heating and A/C are payable locally. Parties paying the small party rate will have access to three bedrooms only.
