Surrounded by lush olive groves and majestic Cypress trees, Madonna del Bagno is a recently restored property nestling on a hillside with truly breathtaking views over the Val di Chiana. The town of Castiglion Fiorentino, just 2km away, dates back to medieval times, its fortified walls clearly visible across the valley. As the panorama continues, the Castello di Montecchio is an iconic focal point of the area. Together the two create a natural frame for one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in Tuscany.
The stunning stone exterior of this 19th Century farmhouse is attractive and stylish. Verdant gardens seemingly blend effortlessly with the surrounding countryside as terraced olive groves tower high above on their journey uphill.
The large infinity pool is a real feature of this property, with a splendid backdrop and ample terracing from which to absorb the views.
Inside, the décor has a typically Tuscan feel with cool terracotta floor tiles, pastel colours and exposed wooden beams. Thick stone walls keep the house fresh and cool during hot summer temperatures. Further afield are Perugia (59km) and Florence (88km) both of which are worthy of a day trip.
