Marina Lourdas Beach has everything needed for a peaceful holiday:  the villa overlooks a splendid beach with oceanfront tavernas. Several footpaths from Marina make their way down through lush vegetation to Lourdas beach (600m), a long stretch of  pale, soft sand lapped by translucent waters.

The gentle curve of Lourdas bay is best appreciated from Marina’s elevated terrace, the eye-catching panorama being enhanced by the delightful infinity pool, where aquamarine water merges with the indigo and cerulean hues of sea and sky. Around the pool, the dining area will soon become a favoured spot for absorbing these glorious vistas, whilst the immaculate lawn and terrace are ideal for young children.

 Sliding patio doors  open from the modern fresh living/dining area onto the terrace. Decorated with contemporary and stylish furnishings, the neat kitchen is well equipped and on the ground floor, a twin bedroom looks out over the pool. Upstairs, both bedrooms have private balconies with fantastic mountain and sea views.

The village is divided into three parts, the area that leads off the coastal road at the top, the middle part with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, and the village square and the beach with popular sea-front tavernas and a couple of mini-markets. Being situated 600m from the square places Marina in an ideal location. With natural springs and surrounded by pine trees it is a charming spot for enjoying a Greek coffee and absorbing village life. Extremely well positioned, Lourdas is an excellent location from which to explore the island. To the south are Skala and Katelios, pretty villages with sandy beaches; to the north is the capital, Argostoli, beyond which is the northernmost tip of Fiscardo, a picturesque harbour. This is a fascinating and beautiful island and well worth discovering.
