Approached via a long driveway through green fields, this charming former farmhouse enjoys a rural location between beach and countryside, and exudes a real home-from-home feel combined with an effortless elegance.


The décor of the comfortable living room has a timeless feel with plenty of natural light flooding in, and the adjoining well equipped kitchen radiates a warm welcoming ambience. A subtle maritime theme runs throughout the living area, a reminder of the proximity and importance of the coast in this seafaring region.

Less mobile party members may appreciate the ground floor bedroom and shower room. The remaining bedrooms, comfortable but more simply furnished, are located on the first floor.

Accessed from the living room, a courtyard terrace offers a sheltered spot for quiet contemplation, with an al fresco dining area in front of the kitchen. The terracing extends to surround the pool, a calm spot fringed by tropical palms and flowers which can be completely enclosed if preferred.

La Torche sits within open grounds providing ample space for older children to run around whilst younger children will enjoy the swing to the rear of the house.

A stroll along the country path behind the house leads to Pointe de La Torche (1.5km), whose wide sandy bay is a favourite spot for surfers as well as sunbathers. After a morning enjoying the beach, why not lunch at one of the crêperies at La Torche specialising in Breton ‘galettes’, delicious savoury pancakes made of buckwheat flour. A wide choice of shops and restaurants can be found in Le Guilvinec (8km) and Pont-l'Abbé (10km) as well as weekly produce markets. A 'must' during your stay is a stroll through the picturesque cobbled streets of the département's main town Quimper (30km) which are lined with half timbered houses and artisanal boutiques.
