Tucked down a country lane, this enchanting ‘Hansel & Gretel’ stone cottage lies peacefully in lush gardens well screened by mature trees and has an immediately welcoming feel.


Once a 19th century farm building, Lune de Miel has been fully renovated with painstaking care, retaining original stonework and wooden beams throughout which infuse the house with a natural charm and warmth, further enhanced by modern comforts including a state of the art sound system.

The focal point of the open plan living area is the broad full height fireplace with woodburner, whilst at the far end a rustic open staircase leads up to a cosy bedroom in the rafters. A recent extension to the property has seen a second double bedroom added, transforming it into ideal accommodation for a small family, although we think this cottage is the perfect hideaway for a honeymoon or special anniversary treat.

Outside, al fresco meals can be enjoyed on the dining terrace looking out over the verdant grounds, centred around the attractive pool area which is set in wooden decking. The poolside garden house offers a handy daytime shower room and an informal living space which older children or teenagers may enjoy making their own.

The nearby village of Coray (2km) offers a small selection of amenities with a broader range available in Rosporden (14km). Picturesque Quimper (26km), with its impressive cathedral is well worth a visit to purchase local handicrafts and sample regional specialities. The property is well placed to explore Brittany’s fascinating interior of forests and lakes, each claiming their own fairytale or legend, yet the coast is also easily accessible. Bustling Concarneau (27km) has an impressive walled fortress set in the harbour, and various fine sandy beaches to choose from in the vicinity.
