Hidden away in a hamlet down a country lane and well screened behind hedges and trees, nestles this renovated stone ‘longère’ style farmhouse which exudes welcoming charm and striking grandeur in equal measure.

Inside, the owners have blended traditional and modern style resulting in a warm ambience and a high level of comfort. Carved wooden dressers and an open fireplace create a dialogue with modern artworks and décor. The recently refitted Italian style kitchen adds a splash of contemporary decadence.

Mixed age parties in particular will appreciate being able to spread out around the property, whether seeking a quiet sunny spot along the terrace, splashing in the pool, running around the garden or lounging in the informal reading/TV room upstairs.

A hectare of established and varied grounds opens out to the rear where a wide lawned garden slopes gently down to a small lake at the bottom. Located to the side of the house, the sheltered pool area boasts an ample sun terrace and a delightful view across the garden.

The nearest restaurant and bakery are in the village of Baye (2km) and a wealth of shops and restaurants can be found in the nearby market town of Moëlan sur Mer (4.5km) including crêperies serving the local savoury pancakes ‘galettes bretonnes’. A little further away, Quimperlé (6km) also has a weekly market held in an impressive covered marketplace, and the historic centre boasts some unique architecture including the 11th century round church of Sainte-Croix. Water lovers may wish to hire a canoe or kayak and explore the rivers which converge in Quimperlé, or head to the coast for windsurfing, sailing or surfing. For a family day at the beach, Le Pouldu (14km) offers three sandy bays and various cafés and restaurants. Other activities in the vicinity include mountain biking, horse riding and fishing.
