The unmistakably rural ambience of this pretty, modern property belies its central location, only a 15 minute drive from both the gorgeous sandy beaches of the south west coastline as well as all the animated energy and general joie de vivre of Ibiza Town. Providing a comfortable, well-appointed base from which to enjoy the best of these contrasting worlds, Ca’n Serres sits on a gentle slope with lovely views over lush landscaped grounds to the green rolling hills that surround Ibiza’s highest point, Sa Talassa (475m).

Sweeping in through electronic entrance gates, the curving driveway cuts a swathe uphill through flower beds and fir trees before revealing the dusky beige sandstone façade of Ca’n Serres. As the sweet forest aromas of pines and olives drift on the breeze pause for a moment and admire the impressive vista of woodland, extensive lawn and open countryside spreading out ahead; a welcoming, timeless ambience that immediately sets a gentle pace for the holiday.

Internally, bright warm accents of ochre and burnt orange match the contemporary wood décor of the airy living/dining area, perfectly setting off the lovely views. An archway off the inner hall reveals two twin bedrooms with direct access to the pool terrace while, on the first floor, two further bedrooms share a large wrap-around terrace looking down over almost two acres of neat, enclosed grounds.

Bordered by spacious sun terrace, a goldfish pond, rockeries and lawn interspersed with cactus, olive and fir trees the private pool is hugely inviting with the infinity edge on one side bringing those attractive country views even closer.

Within easy reach of the house, the nearby coastline, surrounded by pines and rugged cliffs, is blessed with some of the finest cove beaches in the Mediterranean. Playa Caleta (2.5km) and Es Xarco (3.8km) are two of the nicest and nearest, both boasting soft white sand gently sloping into the sparkling, crystal clear waters for which Ibiza is recognised.

Celebrated Cala Jondal (3.5km) has a reputation as one of the most fashionable beaches in the Mediterranean due in large part to its Beach Clubs. Very much a feature of the Ibicencan lifestyle these establishments are open to all yet have a tangible aura of exclusivity due to their popularity with the rich and famous. Sponsorship by designer brands and high-end champagne companies ensures regular coverage on the pages of Europe’s trendiest magazines, usually with a celebrity or two bringing additional kudos and glamour.

Be sure to take advantage of the close proximity of Ibiza Town (7km) - laid back and relaxed by day, cosmopolitan and bustling at night with magnificent 16th century walls overseeing a maze of café’s, restaurants, boutiques and market stalls clustered around a thriving harbour. Defying easy description, you will find the eclectic mixture of sights to behold in and around the town most evenings, elevates the age old pastime of ‘people-watching’ into an art form!
