Set in extensive verdant gardens, this substantial property offers exceptionally presented and spacious accommodation just a couple of minutes’ drive from enchanting and sought after St Paul de Vence. Furthermore, its elevated position allows for wonderful views across wooded hillsides down to the coast, with tantalising glimpses of the medieval village of Les Hauts de Cagnes and the sparkling Mediterranean on the horizon.


Exceedingly comfortable and stylish throughout, the owner’s passion for detail and design is clear to see in the tasteful décor which combines contemporary elegance and original features with a hint of local style. Beautiful tiled floors and pretty wooden shutters help keep the living areas cool in the summer months, with air conditioning or fans available in the bedrooms adding further comfort if required. The principal bedroom on the first floor is of particular note having an exotic North African flavour with warm colours, tadelakt walls and draped fabrics.

Outside, landscaped lawn gardens sweep in an arc around the house, enclosed by established shrubbery and dotted with mature trees. Palm fronds and fragrant lavender border the exotic looking pool terrace, complemented by a comfortably furnished lounge area shaded by a stylish canopy and a newly built covered terrace to escape the midday sun. To both sides of the house several other terraces offer sunny or shady spots at different times of day, and different outlooks over the garden and surrounding area. Your dining experience is further enhanced by the pleasant al fresco dining area, shaded by a leafy chestnut tree, which is conveniently adjacent to the purpose-built summer kitchen.

A selection of shops and restaurants are a short drive away in the walled hilltop village of St Paul de Vence (3km), famous for its art galleries. Other ‘villages perchés’ worth a visit in the vicinity are Vence (6km) and Tourrettes-sur-Loup (10km). The nearest beach is only 5km away at Cagnes sur Mer but of course there are numerous beaches along the Côte d’Azur, mostly pebbles to the east and sand to the west. The boutiques, marinas and wine bars of Antibes (14km) or Cannes (25km) give a taste of Mediterranean glamour, whilst Nice’s old town (15km) has a more traditional atmosphere albeit just as vibrant. Ochre coloured town houses and restaurant terraces line the cobbled streets and on market day the main squares are full of fragrant flowers, fresh produce and local handicrafts.
