Enjoying beautiful views of the gently sloping Puig de Maria, this very desirable property sits in the heart of the Colonya valley surrounded by lush verdant hills yet is a mere 3km from the wonderful Roman town of Pollença. Green and quiet, this sought-after spot provides everything needed to enjoy a relaxing rural hiatus while being conveniently close to all amenities, several sandy beaches, a nine hole golf course and an assortment of well-marked walking and cycling trails. Nestling in immaculate grounds, the larger than average private swimming pool is bordered by verdant, manicured lawns and sheltered by towering palm trees, various mature shrubs and sculptured hedgerows to create a restful, private ambience.

Adorned by red roof tiles and cheerful green shutters the solid, well-crafted stone exterior of this former farmhouse creates a most welcoming first impression.

Resonating throughout the interior and making an immediate impact as you step inside is an attractive blend of traditional and contemporary design touches. Richly embroidered in red, plump and comfortable soft furnishings blend seamlessly with whitewashed walls, rustic floor tiles and timeless wooden rafters - to mention just a few of the eye-catching features on offer. An already spacious living room is further augmented by the spiral staircase leading to a graceful mezzanine that serves as an additional elevated sitting area and providing even more space, if ever it were needed, in which to relax.

Worthy of particular mention is the spacious, galley-style kitchen; smart, fashionable and totally ‘à la mode’ with its gleaming counter tops, smart stools tucked under the breakfast bar, colourful cupboards and excellent selection of modern fitted and free-standing equipment.

Each of the three bedrooms is air conditioned, roomy and well furnished with décor that includes exposed brickwork, several antique pieces of furniture and a collection of interesting artwork. One of the double bedrooms features a wonderfully restored, original Mallorcan bed frame that is considered a family heirloom; however, we would mention that the comfortable (recently purchased) mattress it houses most definitely does not qualify for heirloom status! Rest assured that a good night’s rest is assured!

Adorned with comfy rattan sofas and stretching the length of the façade, the covered outdoor terrace is ideal for a life lived alfresco with a designated dining area that is surely destined to become the centre of holiday activity (or, maybe inactivity?). Just a few steps beyond, an ample sun terrace borders the pool and the adjacent in-built barbecue invites long lingering suppers gazing up at the stars.

Golfers have Pollença Golf Club just 2km away, but even more appealing, the quaint cobbled streets and squares of the town itself offer a weekly market and a marvellous choice of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. The sandy coves of Cala Sant Vicenç and sweeping Bay of Pollença are each within a 15 minute drive.

All in all we feel the convenience of Finca Josepet’s location is hard to beat, particularly when considered alongside the appealing charm of a rustic hideaway.
