Because the island is only 32km across you\u2019re always close to the beach, the mountains or a town which makes it even easier to make the most for the activities on offer&#8230; here are some of the best activities to look out for:<\/p>\n<h1>Water Sports<\/h1>\n<h2>Sailing in Menorca<\/h2>\n<p>With sailing events happening throughout the year this is possibly the most popular activity on the island. If you are lucky enough to be visiting during the King&#8217;s Cup or the Princes Sofia Trophy then we suggest you go and check it out. You can charter all manner of boats (from learner dinghy\u2019s to million pound yachts) around the major ports on the island. There are plenty of schools where you can hire equipment and an instructor if you need to.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Fishing in Menorca<\/h2>\n<p>I know I&#8217;m going to regret saying this BUT it\u2019s very difficult not to catch a fish in Menorca&#8230; the waters are teaming with them! We suggest you hire a rod and go find yourself a quiet cove to fish in&#8230; heaven! You\u2019ll find great swimming, volleyball, beach football and plenty of outlets to get yourself refreshments. Just get there early during peak seasons to avoid the crowds.<\/p>\n<h2>Diving and snorkelling in Menorca<\/h2>\n<p>The water is clear and very clean making diving a great experience. The waters are crammed with sea life &#8211; you\u2019ll see many different breeds, colours and sizes of curious fish. If it\u2019s scuba diving you are after then there are plenty of schools that will train you or lend the experienced divers kit.<\/p>\n<h2>Jet boating, jet skiing, water-skiing, paragliding and sea kayaking in Menorca<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ll find all of these activities on the more popular beaches.<\/p>\n<h1>Land Sports<\/h1>\n<h2>Hiking in Menorca<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ve got choices! Whether you fancy a coastal, mountainous, nature reserve or forest walks you are normally only 15 minutes drive away. There are some fantastic views to take as well as an abundance of wildlife and fauna&#8230; just remember your camera!
