It\u2019s a sun worshipers paradise!<\/p>\n<p>The best beach has to arguably be <strong>Myrtos beach, <\/strong>which has been voted so by visitors consistently for the past few years.<strong> In fact, it has been voted within the top 5 beaches in the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_278\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-278\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-278\" title=\"myrtos-beach\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vintagetravel.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/myrtos-beach.jpg\" alt=\"Myrtos Beach, Kefalonia\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" \/><\/strong><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-278\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Myrtos Beach, Kefalonia <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0Our other recommendations would be:\u00a0<\/h2>\n<h3>PESSADA BEACH<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Where?<\/strong> &#8211; Situated on the south coast of Kefalonia, 8 miles south-east of the capital Argostoli and just 5 miles from the airport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why?<\/strong> &#8211; An intimate stretch of sandy beach with rocks and steps leading down to the water. It&#8217;s a red sandy beach about 100 metres long.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why?<\/strong> \u2013 A truly unique environment with red sand and unusual rock formations. It offers the most incredible view of the gulf of Argostoli , St Theodori lighthouse and Mount Aenos.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_280\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-280\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-280\" title=\"LEPEDA beach\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vintagetravel.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/LEPEDA-beach.jpg\" alt=\"Lepeda Beach, Kefalonia\" width=\"300\" height=\"228\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-280\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lepeda Beach, Kefalonia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800080;\">XI BEACH<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Where?<\/strong> &#8211; Located in the area south of Fiskardo at the southern end of Paliki peninsula.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why?<\/strong> \u2013 A stunning golden beach with shallow waters making it very child friendly. Look for pieces of argil which is very good for body and face masks.
