Villa Torroelleta, Menorca \u2013 Where everyone is made to feel at home. The latest addition to Vintage Travel\u2019s portfolio of luxury villas on Menorca is the sensational Villa Torroelleta, which is situated on the outskirts of the pleasant town of Cala Morell.<\/p>\n

Nuzzled within a truly mesmerising Menorcan recipe of countryside and the coast, Torroelleta possesses a delightfully rural feel. This spacious and extremely well-presented has one double and three twin bedrooms and can sleep up to eight guests.<\/p>\n

Asides being ultra-roomy, this lovely home boasts large windows that not only lets the warm Menorcan sunshine stream into the rooms, but also provides compelling views of the surrounding verdurous rapture and the twinkling azure ocean in the not so far away distance.<\/p>\n

The generously sized private swimming pool with quaint Roman steps is fenced off, so providing you lock the gate, you would have no worries about letting the kids roam free in the highly explorative garden of lawn, shrubs and terraces. As the kids roam to their hearts content, mum and dad can sunbathe and relax on the terrace around the periphery of the pool.<\/p>\n

In fact various terraces adorn the outside of the house, some covered, some not, emphasising just how much time is spent outdoors in the climatically and scenically enviable island. There is an essential built in barbeque for those wonderful social \u201cgood time\u201d evenings.<\/p>\n

Torroelleta also \u2013 wisely \u2013 has a covered parking area, which can make life so much more comfortable in Spain in the summer – No more 45 degrees red hot seats as you start your day!<\/p>\n

The beach at Cala Morell may be small but with so many platforms and places to spread out on the rocks, it is a thoroughly interested beach, which is ideal for snorkelling. The town itself is a relatively new development and has been very tastefully designed. No large and vulgar hotels have been allowed to be built and all buildings and dwellings have been designed in the traditional Menorcan style.<\/p>\n

For a great family day out, there are some incredible and famous pre-historic caves in Cala Morell, which are well worth a visit and many of the artefacts found here are on display in the Museum of Menorca.<\/p>\n

Menorca itself is an interesting island and its history goes way back to pre-historic times. The Romans were here, then the Vandals and of course the place was raided and ransacked by Barbarossa and the Barbary pirates. The British took possession of Menorca early in the 18th<\/sup> century and skirmished over it with France and Spain for nearly 100 years before it properly became part of Spain in 1802.<\/p>\n
