luxury villa in El Gastor<\/a>, La Atalaya will not disappoint.\u00a0La Atalaya is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the views from the villa, garden and pool are absolutely stunning. Gently rolling hills leading away towards white-washed villages and conspicuous peaks, with all the colours of Andalucia laid out before your eyes, cobalt skies, emerald hills and scarlet sunsets.<\/p>\nThis excellent villa boasts three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is decked out in a traditional Andalucian style with chunky wooden furniture, leather sofas, time-honoured features such as genuine beamed ceilings, complimented cordially by some sophisticated mod-cons, including wi-fi. In fact you could say this is a house of natural materials.<\/p>\n
The outside area of La Atalaya is dominated by the superb pool and unsurpassable views. With an exterior this stunning, guests naturally want to wine and dine al fresco in the well-facilitated barbeque area. Although be warned, in high season barbeques are not be permitted in Spain because of the obvious fire risks.<\/p>\n
The town of Ronda, which is some thirty minutes drive away, can simply not be missed. There are dozens of places to eat and drink here as well as many historic things to see. The gorge is a natural and beautiful geological wonder but its beauty was tainted forever during the Spanish civil war when Fascist sympathisers were said to have been thrown off the bridge into the ravine below.<\/p>\n
How true the story is unknown but today the story is believed and repeated amongst locals. It is impossible to look over the side from the many viewpoints and not think of a body or two, hurtling downwards, and it is a long, long way down to the bottom.<\/p>\n
There is much more to do in Ronda however than to dwell upon the maudlin. It is a stunningly beautiful and very special town. It is rightfully the number one tourist attraction in Andalucia.<\/p>\n
The village of El Gastor is white washed and lovely also and is a stone\u2019s throw from La Atalaya. In fact El Gastor is of a walk-able distance, from the villa, which is very handy if you want to have a meal and a drink or two of the delectable local wine or refreshingly cold cerveza.<\/p>\n
