<\/a><\/p>\nTake a look at three dream beaches of the Algarve, this justifiably popular tourist destination.<\/p>\n
Praia Da Marinha, Lagoa<\/h3>\n
Nestled under red limestone cliffs this thin strip of sand never gets overcrowded due to the amount of steps one has to climb to get down to the beach. Although it has to be said that the climb down the steps is well worth the effort, but remember, you will have to climb back up as well!<\/p>\n
The aquamarine sea is usually very calm at Priai da Marinha and is perfect for snorkelling, with the rocks providing habitat for all manner of marine life. With sea stacks protruding out of the sea in stunning fashion, formed down the millennia as the sea did its work on the softer rock, the shoreline here offers fantastic photo opportunities. There is an atmospheric caf\u00e9 bar at the bottom of the steps and it is possible to hire boats and visit the sea caves.<\/p>\n
Situated about halfway along the Algarve coast, the nearest town to Praia de Marinha is Pontimao.<\/p>\n
Ilha Da Barreta,Faro<\/h3>\n
IIha da Barreta, near Faro, is surprisingly one of the most deserted beaches on the whole of the Algarve coastline. The beach lies in front of marshland teaming with wild life and is part of the Parque Natural Da Ria Formosa. It is necessary to take a boat ride through a labyrinth of channels in order to get to this wonderful beach. There is a restaurant here, which uses solar power for cooking.<\/p>\n
Boats leave Faro to IIha da Barreta Becah four times per day in the tourist season and the cost is around 10 Euros return. You may appreciate knowing that the beach is popular with nudists.<\/p>\n
Praia Da Bordeira, Carrapateira<\/h3>\n
Praia Da Bordeira is at the mouth of the Ribeira da Bordeira River and is exhilaratingly rugged and unspoilt – Three kilometres of stark golden sand flanked by impressive limestone cliffs where skilful fishermen cast their lines from perches high above the sea.<\/p>\n
The beach is popular amongst the kite surfers, wind surfers, board surfers and any other \u201ccool\u201d surfer types that you care to mention. As there is no caf\u00e9 at the beach, you are advised to take a picnic along.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll find Praia da Bordeira just a couple of kilometres from the delightful village of Carrapateira.<\/p>\n
