So diverse and impeccably beautiful are the beaches in this region of France that travel critics writing for different publications rarely manage to have the same beach listed in each other\u2019s top ten – such is the diversity and sheer number.<\/p>\n

Below is a list of five of Vintage Travel\u2019s best beaches in Brittany but, be warned, you could probably replace them all with another five with ease and justification.<\/p>\n

Port Manech near Pont-Avon<\/h3>\n

A real \u2018get away from it all beach\u2019 on a river estuary. On Port Manech there is no noisy passing traffic, just a quiet beach bar serving ice-cold drinks and delicious homemade snacks.<\/p>\n

With peace and tranquillity not being so easy to find nowadays, if you have the pleasure of visiting Port Manech, you\u2019ll appreciate why this beach has taken the number one slot of the\u00a0best beaches in Brittany.<\/p>\n

Dinard<\/h3>\n

Affluent, opulent and classy, the beach at Dinard has nothing crude or vulgar about it. Aristocratic Brits have been coming here since the 19th<\/sup> century. Picasso wandered onto Dinard\u2019s beach and was so impressed by its beauty that he felt compelled to paint it, creating the famous painting, \u201cBaigneuses Sur la Plage\u201d.<\/p>\n

In fact there are several superb beaches in Dinard all of which offer the perfect place to laze the day away and drink in the remarkably laid-back Dinard culture.<\/p>\n

Lantecoste between Cap Croz and Beg Meil<\/h3>\n

Being tucked away from the prying eye of the tourist, Lantecoste beach is a tad of a secret and it is its inconspicuousness that makes it so special. Trees protrude into the sand, not only providing shade but also adding a wonderful splash of contrasting colour and texture to the beautiful natural scene at Lantecoste Beach.<\/p>\n

Le Sterr at Guilvinec<\/h3>\n

Despite being a stunning stretch of dazzling white sand, beach Le Sterr at Guilvinec always seems relatively empty. This emptiness against the sand generates a vividly bleak appeal. Also aiding Le Sterr\u2019s appeal is the 307 steps which run up to the Eckmuhl lighthouse.<\/p>\n

Plouescat, to the West of Roscoff<\/h3>\n

Plouescat lies to the West of the town of Roscoff and again is a true \u2018get away from it all\u2019 type of beach. Being backed be sand dunes, the beach is fairly sheltered even in strong winds, which can often accompany this exhilarating corner of France.<\/p>\n
