Just 300 metres from a sandy beach, 300 metres from a restaurant and just a little further to a host of other amenities, could there be a more convenient spot than Cabo Estay for the holidaymaker to stay?<\/p>\n

\"Cabo<\/a><\/p>\n

Tucked away in a tasteful neighbourhood of the beachside village of Canido, a stone’s throw from the placid waters of the Ria de Vigo, Galicia’s Cabo Estay provides everything a guest could yearn, and more besides.<\/p>\n

Cabo Estay is a spacious and modern house, which is done up to an impeccable standard.\u00a0 The villa has five bedrooms and can sleep up to ten guests in absolute comfort. It’s location couldn’t be more perfect. The large sweep of pristine white sand at Canido beach is within easy walking distance. If you want to eat out there is no need to take the car, as a leisurely stroll will put you in the heart of Canido with its many restaurants and bars. Canido’s attractive harbour warrants spending an unhurried afternoon or two. For the more active tourists, the nearby sailing school provides a great opportunity for those who want to experience a taste of life on the ocean waves.<\/p>\n

Canido lies on the southern side of the Rio Vigo estuary mouth. From this coastal village there is a magnificent view of the Isles de Cies and the wide open\u00a0 Atlantic beyond. Sir Francis Drake once took refuge on these islands as he prepared for an attack on the city of Vigo.<\/p>\n

There is another island only 400 metres from Canido which is connected to the town by a bridge. The island is called Isla de Toralla and the urbanisation of this ten-hectare real estate caused quite a stir back in the sixties when building work commenced. A towering apartment block seems to grow right out of the sea but the real controversy was the building of thirty houses which were built on top of an iron age settlement. At night time the island really is pretty. The bridge is lit up and the lights are on in the apartment tower. There are a couple of lovely sandy beaches on the island and the place as a whole is definitely worth a visit.<\/p>\n

That’s if you want to leave Cabo Estay and its stunning premises that is. This beautiful villa has a wonderful garden with all manner of colourful plants,\u00a0 flowers, shrubs and mature trees. Three\u00a0 incredible palm trees sway in the breeze, a stark contrast to the backdrop of an azure sky – A lovely calming vista for anyone’s eyes as you swim towards the verdure foliage down the length of the huge 15 metre\u00a0 pool. The velvet lawns could play host to ball games, sunbathing and such like. The children need not feel left out either and there are swings and a play house to help keep the little ones entertained. For those special holiday nights where family and friends eat outside there is a superb purpose built barbecue house, perfect for wining, dining and gazing up at the bright Galician stars.<\/p>\n

Throughout Cabo Estay’s interior swish varnished wooden floors with tasteful rugs and comfortable furniture provide an immediate sense of taste. The five bedrooms are situated on one side of the house. The master double room is en-suite and a further double plus three twin bedrooms means there is plenty of room for guests to spread out. Two more bathrooms and yet another shower room in the basement ensures there is plenty of wash rooms for everyone.<\/p>\n

Cabo Estay’s kitchen is a real show-piece. In fact you could imagine Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsey cooking in front of the TV cameras in this ultra-stylish kitchen. A central island and a superb colour scheme dominate the superbly designed working room, which has all the necessary mod cons. The dining room is as glamorous, the varnished wooden floors looking particularly fabulous in this huge, regal-like room. The lighting throughout the villa is subtle and well thought out and strategically placed mirrors reflect the light cleverly.<\/p>\n

There are so many things to do in Galicia. The boat trip to the Iles de Cies is a marvellous excursion and it becomes apparent on this boat trip just how many stretches of pristine white sandy beaches there actually are in this part of the world.<\/p>\n
