With quirky, traditional towns perched on hillsides, tiny churches dotted sporadically amongst the roaming fields, woods and valleys, Le Marche in Italy is a truly beautiful and interesting place to visit. But did you know Le Marche is home many great family-friendly beaches?<\/p>\n

The coastline of La Marche is roughly 100 miles long. There are some fantastic beaches in La Marche. The peninsula of Conero is a dramatic, jagged and craggy coast, which lies roughly in the middle of the La Marche coastline. It contrasts sharply with the mellow gentleness of the rest of La Marche’s coastline, which is ideal for families with young children.<\/p>\n

The peninsula is dominated by Mount Conero, which stands at an elevation of 572 metres. The name Conero derives from the Greek word Komaros, indicative of the Strawberry Tree which can be found on the mountain\u2019s slopes.<\/p>\n

There are several historic and charming villages that complement the eye-catching and majestic scenery of the peninsula. The unique appeal of this region of Le Marche is heightened further by the heavenly beaches that cling to the periphery.<\/p>\n

Known as the Conero Riveria, blanched pebble beaches, sheer white cliffs and densely populated forests make Conero Riviera a truly memorable place to visit.<\/p>\n

Sirolo, Numana, Marcelli and Pontonovo are the main resorts on the Conero Riviera. At the north is the beach of Messavelle, a long stretch of white pebbles which reach as far as Trave. On the southern end of the Riviera are a series of beautiful beaches known as Di Gabbiani, Dei Sassi Bianchi and Le Spiagge della Vella. Access to these beaches is sometimes restricted, namely in the rainier months when the water levels are high.<\/p>\n

Another great beach is visit on the Conelo Riviera is Due Sorelle, which is home to incredible rock formations that put into perspective the spectacular geographical nature of the peninsula. This beach can only be reached by boat which from the quayside at Numana.<\/p>\n
