Long Night of Museums<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Long Night of Museums is an annual event that takes place across much of Europe, including the Dordogne.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2004 by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, as its name suggests, the Long Night of Museums sees the museums of the region stay open later than usual, typically until 1 in the morning. What\u2019s more, people can visit the museums on this night for free!<\/p>\n

This year the Long Night of Museums is due to be held on Saturday 16th May.<\/p>\n

Fete de la Musique<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Fete de la Musique is in celebration of the summer solstice. It sees a myriad of bands, musicians and music of every genre and every scale spill out onto the streets of just about every town and villages in the Dordogne.<\/p>\n

The Fete de la Musique was launched by the Ministry of Culture in 1982 and has never looked back, gathering momentum and popularity with each passing year. To experience an authentic and memorable celebration of music, make sure you are in the Dordogne on Sunday 21st June 2015!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty to do and see in the Dordogne all year round.
