While the whole of France goes off with a bang as cities, towns and villages, battle it out to present the most colourful and awesome firework display, as you might imagine, the ultra-glamorous town of St. Tropez takes some beating in terms of putting on spectacular and memorable Bastille Day celebration.<\/p>\n<p>Asides an incredible firework display after dark, which typically takes place between 10 \u2013 11pm, numerous activities are put on in the town.<\/p>\n<p>To mark and celebrate the day which saw the storming of the Bastille in Paris in 1789, when the injustices of the 18<sup>th<\/sup> century royal rule were overturned and common liberties returned, St. Tropez holds street parties, picnics, activities for children and plenty of dancing, drinking and merriment are had by all.<\/p>\n<p>With exceptional glamour, a beautiful beach, the warm sun beating down, spectacular fireworks and unrivalled local revelry, there\u2019s no day quite like Bastille Day to experience St. Tropez.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alongside Nice and Cannes, St. Tropez on the Cote d\u2019Azur is one of the most glamorous places in the whole of France.
