If you get time then do make a trip to Bordeaux and see its fine 18<sup>th<\/sup> Century architecture.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_554\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-554\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vintagetravel.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/map-of-bergerac.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-554\" title=\"map of bergerac\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vintagetravel.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/map-of-bergerac-300x300.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-554\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Map of Bergerac<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Here\u2019s a quick rundown of the key things to see and do in 2010:<\/p>\n<h2>Maison des Vins<\/h2>\n<p>Well worth a visit, this is a free museum with lots to see and do.<strong> <\/strong>You can play around with different stations to see how easily you identify about 25 scents, which help you test your \u2018wine nose\u2019!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Grotte de Villars<\/h2>\n<p>This is a day trip from Bergerac, that involves a bit of adventure. The grotto was discovered in 1953 and consists of more than 13kms of underground tunnels that connect the river. You\u2019ll see stalagmites, stalactites as well as prehistoric paintings made 17000 years ago. A great trip!<\/p>\n<h2>Aquarium du Perigord Noir<\/h2>\n<p>The Aquarium du Perigord Noir is as it suggests&#8230; an aquarium. It houses 6000 fish in<strong> <\/strong>3,000,000 litres of water spread over 30 pools.. plenty to see!<\/p>\n<h2>Le Vieux Port<\/h2>\n<p>Take a trip to this ancient port rich with history. Be sure to book your space on a traditional boat rides that will take you up and down the river pointing out the best bits.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are looking for accommodation then why not consider the rather quaint Ch\u00e2teau Le Pintre (sleeps 12) situated just 1.5km from Eymet where you\u2019ll discover cafes, restaurants and shops.
