<\/p>\nExciting Rabac can be found on the east coast of Istria in Croatia. This vibrant town is not only a great place for a holiday with its bars and cafes, clean pebble beaches and safe swimming. Nestled beneath high mountains, Rabac\u00a0is an adventurous place, putting on a variety of events throughout the year.<\/p>\n

The first Rabac sailing Regatta was held in 1973 and is now one of the most popular events on the Adriatic. It is held in September and is normally followed by a great Pasta party.<\/p>\n
There is the Labin Rabac Vertical Trail Race, for the more energetic of travellers and also in August an adventure race for professional sportsmen, including hiking, mountain-biking, swimming, rowing, and cliff climbing. This event can last an incredible 12 hours, although there is a milder version for amateurs.<\/p>\n
The Rabac Handmade Products Fair features authentic Istrian cuisine including local olive oil,\u00a0Istrian prosciutto, home-made goat\u2019s cheese, Labin area wines and hand-made ceramics produced in tiny local potteries. There is also a Gastronomic event, held each month in the summer, with traditional regional dishes. The local food varies from specialties such as pasta variations and krafi, ravioli filled with cottage\u00a0cheese, and raisins, to more standard dishes of grilled fish and meat.<\/p>\n
Rabac also has a Summer Fitness Festival for sport and dance fans. Trained instructors provide workshops and presentations during this popular event.<\/p>\n
Every summer a Contemporary Music Festival takes place on the beach, which is aimed at a younger crowd with international DJs.<\/p>\n
The autumn can be a great time to visit Rabac as the prices tend to be cheaper,\u00a0and the resorts less crowded. During this time of the year the weather remains favourable and the sea ideal for swimming.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
