The\u00a0Gouffre de Padirac, a large chasm that opens onto the limestone plateau of the \u2018Causse de Gramat\u2019, is a great experience for all the family. Or for those feeling less energetic, a boat tour will take you underground along a river amongst numerous stalagmites and stalactites.<\/p>\n
The summer months in South West France are enlivened by music festivals, with\u00a0jazz providing very popular, alongside an eclectic mix.<\/p>\n
For windsurfing enthusiasts, head to Biarritz, or to Auch, Tarbes and Dax, if you want to visit charming traditional villages. St-Cirq-Lapopie\u00a0is considered, by many, to be the most beautiful village in this part of France, and is a popular destination for artists. Cahors has the magnificent Pont de Valentre and is situated next to the looping River Lot.<\/p>\n
St C\u00e9r\u00e9 is a bustling market centre, which is positioned at over 200m altitude and boasts stunning views of the surrounding countryside. This lively little town is a great place to buy as fois gras, truffles and cep mushrooms, and be acquainted with some of the fabulous local delicacies this part of France is home to.<\/p>\n
