La Castille is the largest of the three properties, sleeping up to ten guests.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6660\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vintagetravel.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2498_1-710x472.jpg\" alt=\"La Castille\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>La Castille is located just 2.6 kilometres from the quaint market village of Castillonnes in the northern Lot-et-Garonne department of South West France. French food and wine enthusiasts will be in their element, as this area is renowned for its distinct cuisine and wine.<\/p>\n<p>Character, charm and sophistication are at the heart of this lovingly-restored 18<sup>th<\/sup> century property. Internally, La Castille radiates rustic splendour, with soft linens, interesting artwork, a colour palette inspired by nature, rustic features sourced from local \u2018brocantes\u2019, ample space, and natural daylight flooding through the windows.<\/p>\n<p>All La Castille\u2019s bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, enabling guests to spread out and relax in the comfort of this tranquil environment.<\/p>\n<p>Large double doors lead from La Castille\u2019s stunning kitchen\/diner, onto the property\u2019s delightful garden. These open grounds extend onto woodland and fields that stretch beyond La Castille.<\/p>\n<p>A private fenced pool enables guests to cool down from the warm sun South West France boasts for much of the year. A decked area with sun loungers is the perfect spot for guests to enjoy some serious sunbathing or to relax with a book.<\/p>\n<p>Situated between the Dordogne and Lot rivers, the area that surrounds La Castille is made for exploring. Scattered with flourishing vineyards producing the top-quality wine of the region and quirky and interesting bastide villages, La Castille provides the perfect base for visitors to become acquainted with authentic life in this relaxed and traditional part of France.<\/p>\n<p>Dating back to the 13<sup>th<\/sup> century, the nearby Castillonnes is a true delight to visit. The hive of the town\u2019s activity takes place at the Place des Cornieres, where an attractive town hall dominates one whole side of the village square.<\/p>\n<p>This traditional bastide town can be reached from La Castille down a rural footpath.
