Athina comprises of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping up to four guests. With chunky wooden rafters overhead and exposed stone walls, the villa is decorated in a traditional style, designed to complement the many natural treasures on its doorstep.<\/p>\n
With French doors in the two bedrooms that open onto the pool terrace, Athina really capitalises on its fabulous views that stretch across the bucolic landscape and out towards the sea. The alluring poolside terrace can also be accessed from the open-plan living space of this single-storey country home.<\/p>\n
Athina is designed for al-fresco dining, with a shaded dining terrace providing a picture-perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal washed down with some refreshing local wine.<\/p>\n
Despite its picturesque position in the heart of Kefalonia\u2019s unspoilt countryside, Athina is just a ten-minute drive from the popular village of Maganos. This quaint and laidback village is home to a handful of restaurants, a convenience store and grocery shop, where you can pick up holiday essentials, and an atmospheric caf\u00e9 where you can enjoy a coffee with the locals.<\/p>\n
At Maganos you can put your towel down for the day on a pretty, shingle beach, known as St. Jerusalem.<\/p>\n
Just a 20-minute drive from the house is the beautiful harbour town of Fiscardo. This cosmopolitan coastal village is backed by rolling hills carpeted in cypress trees and olives. Such is the beauty of Fiscardo that the Greek government declared it an area of great natural beauty.<\/p>\n
