Covid-19 Testing & Traffic Light System
Testing for Covid-19*
As you may be aware, many countries, including the destinations that we offer as well as the UK, may require either a negative Covid-19 test or proof of complete vaccine or proof of immunity before you enter the country.
With regards to testing we have negotiated a special rate with Qured, one the UK government’s approved suppliers, who offer Covid-19 antigen and PCR tests designed specifically for international travel and provide testing kits, delivered to your home, prior to you leaving the UK. This will enable you to get a certified test before you fly out to your destination. For returning to the UK you will take a test kit with you (avoiding the stress, cost and hassle of finding a test abroad) and take the Rapid Flow Test 72 hours before your return flight, this test will be overseen and verified remotely by one of Qured’s Health Advisors.
We have negotiated a special 10% discount on the rates;
To arrange/book tests you will need to create an account at patients.qured.com (Ignore the 'Corporate Membership ID' field). Once the account is created click on the GREEN Menu button (top right), then select 'Book Test'. Choose your test from the list and fill in the required information. Don't forget to enter the promo code VT10. (Be sure to click 'Apply' to ensure the discount is applied). For more information about Qured please visit https://qured.com
*Please satisfy yourself as to the suitability and acceptance of any test for your own situation and needs. We cannot accept any responsibility over and above these suggestions of the supplier.
What the Traffic Light system means
The UK Government has introduced a traffic light system for when international travel resumes on the 17th May. Destinations are classified as follows:
• Green: Passengers will not need to quarantine on return, but must take a pre-departure test, as well as a PCR test on return to the UK.
• Amber: Travellers will need to quarantine for 10 days (or 5 nights under the test & release scheme). You will also be required to take a pre-departure test and two PCR tests on return to UK.
• Red: Passengers will have to pay for a 10-day stay in a managed quarantine hotel, as well as a pre-departure test and two PCR tests on return to UK.
How will I be affected?
