Client Reviews for Casale di Preggio

A week of perfect sunny weather, great local food & relaxing by the pool. Memorable dinners overlooking the fabulous view, listening to Puccini and drinking far too much red wine. This is a peaceful place - well placed to explore so many interesting places. We especially enjoyed Gubbio & the trip on the 'funivia' up the mountainside, the market in Umbertide, Roman Museum in Perugia. The villa (& pool) is memorable in itself - a real "cook's kitchen" - the only difficult decision was between eating out & diving into the cookery books; a view in every room, from every terrace. Thank you!

Amazing week! We heartily enjoyed ourselves, particularly while lounging poolside. While the week began with a bit of thunder the weather did not fail us and we all managed to get somewhat sunburnt. Above all it was the glorious view and the great company which made this week for us. To future guests, we recommend going down to the lake, especially the town of Castiglione del Lago.

What a charming and comfortable villa. We loved eating breakfast on the terrace with the house martins performing aerobatics overhead. We enjoyed Assisi, Siena and Gubbio, and the welcome relief of the pool in the afternoon. We would love to return another year!

A wonderful place to stay with such magnificent views. We would recommend Perugia as an absolute delight to visit along with Gubbio, and of course the stunning Assisi. The Uffizi in Florence and Siena itself are of course “must-dos”! The pool was a welcome reprieve in the souring heat and the great spaces to read in the shade and snooze. Overall, a delight

We had the most wonderful week’s stay in the beautiful Casale di Preggio. A fantastic and well-equipped place to stay with stunning views and such fun in the pool to be had. Some of our favourite trips included Siena and Perugia which we found to be closer than expected and very charming. Highly recommend the small shop in Castel Rogine for fresh, local, and homemade produce!

Sad to leave this fabulous house with unforgettable views. Wonderful weather with the odd spectacular thunder and lightning storm across the valley. The Lake is a must-do and difficult not to get a good meal anywhere.

Enjoyed a week of warm summer weather. We will miss lazing by the pool, lunch alfresco, the wonderful views and the house. Highlight of the trip - stopping the car to let two wild boar cross the road on the way to Mercatale.

Very happy with the booking service, help from adviser Aileen and with the house that we booked. Would certainly use Vintage Travel again and will be looking where else a similar self-catering / may be other types of holiday options to this standard are available through the company. Better than most other villa booking experiences that we have had.

The property was beautiful and peaceful and very spacious inside and out and the location stunning with lovely panoramic views. It is ideal for mixed generation holidays as there is so much space.

A beautiful relaxing holiday. You can never tire of watching the lake of morning mist rise up from the valley floor - simply breathtaking views. The villa is fabulous and a great location from which to discover Umbria.
