Client Reviews for Casa da Galé

The whole booking process was straightforward and efficient, as was the subsequent paperwork. My only comments are that the property was significantly better equipped than suggested by the website description. Which was a very pleasant surprise, but would have helped to know beforehand. Also, the garden at the property was absolutely beautiful and the photos on the website do not do it justice.

Very happy with everything - we'll be back next year (or earlier if possible!)

A truly splendid holiday met by owner and given brief tour of the village. He also texted information to us during the week of local events we may wish to attend. The villa was in an ideal position and was fully equipped with all we needed. We decided not to hire a car but train and bus services were sufficient although we carried a timetable of both with us to help. Area is beautiful with walks to Cahmina and Ancora. The cobbles may make it difficult for those with walking difficulties and the villa is up a hill. The walk to the beach took about 15 minutes and we found about 4 grocery shops in the village. Various places to eat. We came back from our week away feeling relaxed, fitter and ready to return! Thank you!

Very satisfied! Staff in the call centre were very friendly and helpful. The departure pack was very useful, particularly the brochure giving information on the region of our holiday. Thank you.

The holiday was very enjoyable with plenty of sun but kept bearable by an (apparently) unseasonal cool breeze. The garden with olive and lemon trees was a delight with a well proportioned swimming pool heated to a balmy 30 degrees. Allowed us to spend hours mucking around in it! Highly recommended.

Wow, what a holiday. We were lucky to have hot sunny weather which enabled us to use our private pool every day. Simao the owner of the Villa was there to greet us when we arrived and he was so warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Loved the Villa, so romantic and very well equipped could have stayed for ever. All the locals were friendly. Hired a car so that we could explore the countryside. First time in Portugal and loved the country.Would love to return but take my grown up daughters next time. A big thank you to everyone at Vintage Travel for all your help.

Excellent service all round. Our host Simao was extremely friendly and helpful in providing local information, and speaks excellent English for sorting anything out. The garden and heated pool at Casa da Gale are fabulous. It is well equipped with beach umbrellas etc.

A delightful setting in a tranquil location; the beach is an easy walk away. Everyone we encountered was both friendly and helpful, and this paired with the unspoilt surroundings allowed for an authentic Portuguese experience, which we very much enjoyed.

Our hosts Simon and his brother were extremely helpful and always at the end of the phone if needed. The extras in the villa, all the little things, dishwasher tabs, toilet rolls and rubbish bags, extra towels, showed extreme generosity. The welcome pack was the best ever. Please pass on these comments. Should you have villas where we wish to go in the future you will be my first choice.

We enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful holiday in this lovely property. The owner, Simao, was very welcoming even picking us up from and dropping us off at Caminha station. Moledo beach is a 15 minute walk and there is a small supermarket only a couple of minutes away from the house. We didn't hire a car and found the trains and buses very cheap although a bit of forward planning was required re timetables. We would certainly consider staying here again. A great family holiday.
