Client Reviews for Hacienda La Viña

To date we have often arranged our Easter/Summer family holidays via owners direct/English Country Cottages/James Villas - this was the first time we had used Vintage. I was struck from the moment we paid our deposit by the professional and supportive approach - attention to detail in the payment and booking process, incredibly helpful information pack, the diligent and helpful representative Georgina who met us at the property and the general sense that Vintage was there in the background concerned you had a great holiday. I had forgotten what a good holiday agent should be until this holiday. We shall definitely use Vintage again. Villa Hacienda Vina is a truly wonderful villa with breath-taking views, a comfortable all on one level living accommodation and great proximity to local villages and bigger towns and cities in the area. We will be back...

Another fantastic 3 weeks at this beautiful villa. Once again enjoyed morning coffee in the square in El Gastor after doing our shopping in various village stores. A highlight of our visit this year was to visit El Gastor for the Corpus Christi celebrations. The village streets and houses are decorated with palms and flowers (an amazing amount of work goes into the displays) and there is a procession through the streets. Visited Seville, Ronda, Zahara and Grazalema, ate in local restaurants and spent quite a lot of time enjoying the pool at the villa and the stunning view. A wonderful holiday. Thank you to Georgina and Raul.

Hacienda La Vina is an outstanding property with an amazing view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to come again. Owner Raol and Rep Georgina were both very helpful with local knowledge.

A very comfortable week. A great location for visits to Zahara, Grazalema, Olvera (Via Verde) and Benoaján (Mr Henderson's Railway Walk). El Gastor has many bars/cafes and mini markets, no need to drive to large supermarkets. Good walks. El Gastor up to Tajo Algarin to watch Griffon Vultures soar next to you - fabulous views. The villa is comfortable and spacious, especially for just the two of us with amazing views. Another good villa from Vintage Travel. Thank you.

Lovely holiday, ditto to the previous comments! Really enjoyed El Gastor and local amenities, particularly Los Cuñaos who even made tapas at our request that were not on the menu.

A wonderful week, despite some bad weather at the start. The mountains are so beautiful that even looking at them in cloud is dramatic. We spent an evening in Zahara; the churches and sqaure are wonderful and we had a delicious meal at Al Lago. Coffee in El Gastor in the morning became a frequent thing. Next time we'll venture out more, as we couldnt tear ourselves away from that view! Georgina and Raul, as already mentioned, were both very helpful. Enjoy! We'll be back....

WOW! What a fabulous holiday! This villa is superb with the most beautiful view to top it off. Much like last year, we enjoyed watching the Griffon Vultures circling ahead and unlike last year, actually had time to explore the surrounding landscape! We took a trip to Olvera which is a lovely town with views from the castle. Ronda was as stunning as always with plenty to see. Our highlight was a trip to Grazalema, we loved it and went back for another dose a week later. El Gastor has everything you need, the fish monger sells beautiful fish. Raul is so friendly and kind, we were even given fruit from his fruit trees to sample. So in short, what an outstanding holiday, thank you Vintage Travel, Georgina and Raul!

Fab week - baking heat and lazy days by the pool. The villa was simply perfect. Managed visits to Olvera for shopping, also visited the church on the hill - gorgeous. Montecorto - the Feria this weekend, well worth a visit. Zahara - lovely quiet lunch at Al Lago. Grazalema - the drive over Puerto de Las Palomas, stunning! Bought a lovely woolen scarf and poncho (perfect for scottish winter!). Ronda, coffee at the Parador overlooking the gorge. El Gastor - perfect to while away a morning, lovely bread, cakes and coffee in the square. Amazing, friendly Andalucia. Thanks to Raul, Jesus and Georgina for all your consideration and guidance.

We really have relaxed into this villa. You are going to love it! Walked Mr Henderson's Railway Walk, It took 2 hours, great walk and train back! Ronda is superb. Bit poignant if you read Hemingway....Also the bullring very interesting. Walk to El Gastor (40 minutes) for bread and cakes in the morning. In the town, the best restaurant we discovered was Los Cuñaos. The bars fill up at night and people fill the street. Last tip, use "Ventas" all good food and cold beer. All the best!
