We loved this region of Portugal, the location was lovely, the people were friendly and helpful, local food was good and we enjoyed our stay at the Villa.

Really excellent property, well equipped house and good location. We enjoyed the garden, didn't use the pool as weather mixed but it is heated so now wish we had! We would recommend this house to family and friends - ideally have a car to visit villages and towns.

Thank you, great holiday and could not fault the property. If anything it was under sold.

The standard of the property was excellent and we had a lovely holiday. Wonderful location and a lovely view. The village restaurants were very good, very reasonable and the waiters couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly recommend Casa Horta.

Leading up to the holiday the staff and information was exactly what we expected. The pack was a great touch with further added to the experience. The villa was breathtaking, our view of the sea at the side of the pool was lovely as was the attention to detail in the house. We met the owner and he made us feel at home with some personal touches. Luis was helpful and responded to any questions almost immediately. We were sad to leave and would highly recommend. Thank you to everyone that made our holiday possible.

We have recently returned from spending 2 weeks in Casa da Horta, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The villa is in an old village, with old cobbled streets. With a small convenience store, a couple of Bakers and a Restaurant, serving delicious meals. There are a couple of Supermarkets close by. The drive from Porto Airport, was quick and easy. The villa itself is very modern and extremely well equipped, with more than is usually provided. Lots of towels for the pool and the kitchen has everything needed to provide a meal, both for formal and informal meals. The house provides the comfort and luxury of a hotel. The garden is well stocked with a lot of fruit trees. Parking under a Kiwi fruit tree, providing shade for the car. A table and benches under a Grape Vine, provides another shaded area. There are citrus trees, Plum trees, a Guava tree and an old huge Chestnut tree. The pool has a cover resembling a blind, that is rolled back and forward, by an electric switch, keeping out leaves. We were looking for a break that would give us peace and tranquility and we got it. The owner lived very close and was at hand for any queries we had. It was a break for us, we thoroughly appreciated.
