Client Reviews for Finca Cigüeña

Very relaxing fortnight here. Weather good - warm but not too hot, so much time spent outside and in the pool. BBQ's most nights but don't try it when the 'Levante' wind is blowing! We enjoyed sitting out in the evenings wathcing the visiting storks (Cigueña being Spanish for stork) Niki extremely helpful, not least in providing a large fan. Good wine shops in Conil, 'Caur' and in Jerez 'Ya en su casa'. Excellent meat from carniceria Paco Melero in Vejer. Butch/ greengrocer in El Colorado also good. Market in Conil best for fish (though Carrefour also good for meat and fish). Don't miss Jerez! especially for flamenco, sherry and the show at the equestrian school. Many good meals there, our favourite restaurant was 'Al Bala'.

Excellent all round again. Thank you Vintage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 14 nights in Finca Cigüeña. Thank you for the air con in the bedrooms on the 35 degree nights! Superb outdoor space: plants, and of course the pool. Had many sunny days around the pool, beaches ( La Barossa, El Palmar, Roche) and superb meals at Venta Reyes (El Palmar), La Artesana (El Colorado), El Timon (Roche). Enjoy spotting all the wildlife in this peaceful place (lizards, bats, goats, dragon flies, field mice). Don't miss the tree top adventure "Entre Ramos Aventura" (Roche) plus Aqualand in Jerez if you have children.

I liked the horse show in Jerez, they standed on 2 legs - Emma Cox, aged 6. I liked everything - Henry Cox, aged 4. We have thoroughly enjoyed the pool and spent alot of time in it! Would recommend a trip to Cadiz & Jerez. The beaches all along the coast are beautiful but we particulalry liked La Zahora, near Cape Trafalgar which has great rock pooling at low tide and was very child friendly. La Barossa was lovely, great beach. We also did a whale and dolphin trip from Tarifa which was very exciting. The wind picked up during our last days, as did the temperature so we were grateful for the air conditioning!

Very sad to be leaving tomorrow. Had an excellent 2 week holiday. Highlights include Barossa Beach at sunset, Sevilla trip including Palace, Cadiz is beautiful - we had fab dinner in Ultramar and Nos in Cadiz - a Rick Stein recommendation. Hill to village of Vejer well worth a visit with narrow streets of artistic shops and fab restaurants on Plaza de España. We ate in Garimba Sur as recommended in the Vintage Folder - excellent. We would definitely spend another week here and fill it with visiting different beaches restaurants etc. House and pool are fab and kitchen really well equipped. Loved our holiday, thanks.

2 weeks spent here relaxing by the pool and enjoying Conil and La Barossa beaches. The children enjoyed the tree top adventure in Roche, the children park in Jerez and the waterpark in El Puerto de Santa Maria. Our 2nd year here and just as enjoyable!

Had a peaceful stay here for a week. My sons loved Gibraltar. Spent a morning in Conil with its pretty streets and sandy beaches. Plenty of time chilling in the pool with lots of sangria. Last stop - Trafalgar point, some lovely places to eat if you like eating late and good views of the lighthouse.

The whole family have had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay here. Much fun had in the pool. Location ideal - Conil has lovely beaches and many places to eat and shop and its less than 20 minutes away. Toured Cadiz by way of open top bus - nice to know a bit more about such an old city.

This was our first ever villa holiday so we weren't really sure what we were doing when booking! From the start, Vintage Holidays were very helpful. They made booking over the phone very simple, advised about flights and answered any other questions we had. Between booking and the holiday date we received several different letters of confirmation and directions etc. All extremely helpful. On arrival at the villa we were really excited. The building was of a fair size, massive courtyard out front, lovely big garden area with patio and barbecue. This was adjacent to a lovely big pool area. Simply brilliant. Day after arrival, the rep called by and had a chat and gave us lots of useful information. The villa had 3 air conditioned bedrooms, bathroom with shower and en-suite bathroom in one of the bedrooms. Living room and kitchen both a fair size. As brits, we had all we needed supplied, from the kettle, toaster right down to a fully prepared kitchen and they even provided staple foods including bread, milk, sugar, water, teabags, pasta and so on, all really handy if you arrive out of shop hours. Pool, amazing. Perhaps 10 metres long, one end 2 metres deep, the other a metre so young and old can have all the fun they want. I've just taken up swimming so it was great that I could actually do circuits in the pool. It was reasonably warm as well, even at 8am. Location. Like, in the middle of nowhere but the supermarket is less than 5 minutes away, chemist and other shops and small restaurants. Beaches and quaint towns just 15 minutes drive so you have all you need close by. Finally, bin just 50 metres down the road and wi-fi worked 24/7 for us. Amazing, brilliant place to spend your holiday, highly recommend.

A fabulous holiday in a gorgeous part of Spain. Have spent plenty of time by the pool but also driven out and visited some spectacular places. My top 3 would be Cadiz, Medina Sidonia and La Barossa beach. We caught the train to Seville for the day - very easy. Drove to Jerez - would definitely recommend the Tio Pepe winery. None of the drives take very long because of the excellent road networks. Loved buying fresh fish and meat from the market in Chiclana and the market in Cadiz is AMAZING. Enjoyed breakfast in Conil followed by a walk on the glorious beach. A fabulous holiday. Hasta pronto!
