Client Reviews for Finca Xesteira

The villa was fantastic, probably the best we have ever had, spacious, clean well equipped etc. The pool was great, and also the impressive amount of games/activities for the children (and adults), e.g. Pool table, Table tennis table etc. Nice area, hilly, green, and only 10 minutes from the coast and Baiona, with plenty of restaurants/shops and lovely beaches. Virtually no "non-Spanish" tourists, hardly heard a word of English spoken anywhere - perfect! Please pass on our thanks to Luis and Marta (the owners).

Really excellent service. Very helpful when we had queries. The house was in excellent condition with great facilities that exceeded our expectations.

A fabulous villa (probably the best we have stayed at) with fantastic views & I have to say, lovely weather. Baiona is a smashing seaside town with lots of good eateries & a day to the Cies Islands is worth it. Our favourite trip was a little further up towards Pontevedra but no time on the AP9 to Combarro with the waterfront ‘horreos’ & beachfront restaurants. Stop off at the Monastery of Poio, if you like that sort of thing, as it is well kept and not overly religious, & see the mosaic. The pool is also a huge bonus, so enjoy! An excellent local restaurant is ‘Na Morada das Parras’; turn right out of the house and then right at the end of the road and then follow the brown signs at the junction, turning right. One of the best villas we have ever stayed at & lovely owners. Best pool ever & fantastic area overall.

The house was really amazing and couldn't have been better equipped or more comfortable. We had a really lovely holiday, thank you! We greatly enjoyed the facilities of the house. Thought the pool was great and the games room got some good use. We cooked half of the time and went out to eat for the rest. We loved Baiona and learned to surf badly at Patos beach! This is our second time in this area and we would recommend this accommodation to others!

The villa and grounds are beautiful and were immaculate when we arrived. The generous welcome basket was much appreciated as was the greeting from our neighbour Jesús. We were well placed to visit many of the places of interest around us – the house book was very helpful. We particularly enjoyed: 1) Botanical walk in the Parque Natural Monte Aloia – provided free by the rangers on a daily basis. 2) Trip to Viana do Castelo in Portugal – a beautiful and picturesque town. 3) Watching the surfers at Playa de Patos on a wet and wndy day. All in all a very relaxing week despite less than perfect weather!
