Client Reviews for Sele

Miho the owner went out of his way to make sure we had all we needed. Including giving us a tour of the local area on arrival. The house was lovely and the food package awaiting us was great. In booking with you we know we will have a high standard of accommodation and love all the information we get too in the house - great as makes things easier to experience the area. I contacted the office ahead of our holiday and they sent me the pdf of info for the house which was great and a book recommendation so we could read up on the area. The book was excellent and I must say the service from this member of staff great and made a real difference too.

We've had a very relaxing week doing not a lot! The pool is lovely and we swam every day. The village has everything you need and how wonderful not to have to drive to get anything. Watching the world go by in the local bar each evening was an entertainment. We have felt like privileged guests in this house, nothing has been too much trouble and Miho's home grown vegetables were delicious. What a gentleman - kindness personified and a pleasure to meet. We really have felt part of the community in this friendly village. Highly recommended. Thank you.

We have come to the end of our two week stay in this wonderful villa in Gruda. Miho, the host, could not have been more welcoming, thank you so much for all your help throughout our stay. The villa is well equipped and spotlessly clean, both inside and outside. Gruda is a lovely little village with cafes, supermarket, bakery and a butcher. We have found this part of Croatia so charming, both the people and the places and we would not hesitate to return again soon. Thank you!

We have had a wonderful week here relaxing in this villa. We have really enjoyed using the pool which is a good size for a private villa. Gruda had more amenities than we were expecting and being able to walk there was even better. The butchers and the bakery were really good. Thank you again for the use of your villa.

Had a lovely holiday here. Miho very helpful and informative. Thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the pool and exploring Gruda - with all the amenities you need. Supermarket, cafes, bakery - would especially recommend the excellent butcher to buy meats for barbecuing back at the villa. Dubrovnik itself is beautiful and interesting and a day trip to the island of Lokrum by boat was a favourite. We've had a great time.

We had a fantastic week at Sele, Croatia. The owner, Miho, could not have been more helpful and the tour of the area he gave us, along with information and tips about the area were extremely useful (especially the less congested alternative border crossing into Montenegro and taking a boat to Dubrovnik from Cavtat!) The villa was lovely, very well equipped and in a beautiful area with fabulous views across the valley. It was great to be able to walk into the town for provisions and to the wonderful restaurant, Koraceva Kuca, which we visited three times - amazing views, great ambience, the owner and waiting staff being so friendly and welcoming - we complimented them on not only the fabulous traditional food (lamb under the bell) but also the music and they even played our suggestion (thank you, Miho and Dino)! Another excellent holiday courtesy of Vintage Travel - we were a little apprehensive visiting a new country but could not have enjoyed ourselves more and would love to return. Thank you very much.

What a fantastic villa with great local butcher, bakery and cafes. Do visit the Bay of Kotor...take the ferry and enjoy the stunning scenery on the way to the old walled city of Kotor. Walking in the Konavle area is lovely, particularly up around the river. Enjoyed our stay and the easy pace of life here.
